Nickserv is the nickname (nick) registration Service. This gives you the ability to register/own your nickname. Registering with NickServ grants additional benefits like Channel (Chat Room) registration.
Below are some basic commands. More advanced commands or additional details can be seen by typing /nickserv HELP in your chat window.
Staff will NEVER ask you for your password. Do not give it out.
indicates fields you must provide. No brackets when using these commands.

Nick Registration:
/nickserv REGISTER
This will register your nick to your password. You must verify your e-mail address. You will receive a e-mail with a command to complete registration. Just copy and paste it into chat.
Unverified Nick registrations expire after 24 hours.
Inactive Nicks expire after 30 days.

Nick Login:
/nickserv identify
Logs you in/identifies you to your active nick.

Reclaim Nick:
/nickserv ghost
Allows you to reclaim your nick if you were disconnected or someone else is using your nick.

If you forget your password join #HelpDesk and staff can send you a password reminder or reset the password.
