1.) You are expected to treat the staff and other users of TO Chat with respect. If you feel another user is harassing you, /ignore or ban that user. If the /ignore (or ban) is reasonably chosen and the user acts to evade the ban and continue the harassment, contact TO Chat staff in #HelpDesk.

2.) Except when a channel is used in violation of the TOS or AUP, channel management is left within the channel. For registered channels, channel management is left with the channel users. For unregistered channels, channel management is left with the channel operators.

3.) You may only advertise in channels where you are on the userlist or with the channel owner's permission. Advertisements directly to users (including multiple /INVITEs) are prohibited.

4.) You may not use TO Chat services to infringe upon any party's copyrights or other legal rights, or to violate any other laws.

5.) You may not use TO Chat services to transmit pornography.

6.) You may not use TO Chat services to send hate speech. Hate speech includes, but is not limited to, speech which demeans groups of people that is meant to insult or inflame.

7.) You may not charge others for the services provided to you by TO Chat. This includes channel registration ("ownership"), and any attempt to sell TO Chat services may result in revocation of your privileges to TO Chat services.

8.) Abuse or blatant misuse of TO Chat services, including but not limited to the use of "idler bots," may result in revocation of your privileges to TO Chat services.

9.) TO Chat operators will interpret this AUP if there is ambiguity as to how it applies to your situation. Ultimately staff have final decision and can apply rules even if there are not posted here.

10.) Access to TO Chat is only permitted via approved means (IE Via The Website for all, limited approval for application direct connection).

11.) Connection to TO Chat is only allowed through Authorized Means (TO Chat Web Chat). Some exceptions allow third party clients but require a password and approval from staff.

12.) No Flooding/Scrolling - Flooding is described as posting numerous messages in rapid succession to disrupt other users ability to chat.

13.) These rules are subject to change with or without notice.
